The following terms are used throughout these policies depending on the context and readability. Please refer to this section whenever you are unsure about what a word or phrase means.

  1. Students / You These policies are written for people enrolled in our programs. We may refer to you as “student”, “students”, or “you”. These all mean the same thing in these policies.
  2. The Institute / We / Us Elevare™ Career Institute may be called “the Institute”, “school”, “we”, or “us”. These terms all refer to Elevare™ Career Institute as an organization.
  3. Regulators / Regulatory Bodies / Governing Body Government and oversight organizations, such as the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU), may be called the “regulatory body”, “regulators”, or the “governing body”. These terms refer to official organizations that oversee and regulate the Institute and its programs.
  4. Faculty / Instructors The terms “faculty”, “instructor(s)”, or “teacher(s)” refer to the staff members who deliver instruction, assess student work, and support student learning.
  5. Staff / Administrative Staff “Staff” or “administrative staff” refers to employees of the Institute who provide support services, such as admissions, finance, student services, and operations.
  6. Campus / Premises “Campus” or “premises” refers to the physical locations where the Institute operates, including classrooms, labs, offices, and common areas.
  7. Handbook / Policy The words “handbook”, “student handbook”, “Policies”, or “this document” may be used to refer to this entire publication or section of the website. “Policy” means a rule or requirement set by the Institute that students are expected to follow.
  8. Student Information System (SIS) and Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) The “Student Information System”, “SIS”, or “Orbund” is the online system the Institute uses to manage your personal information, enrollment, attendance, grades, and official records. You may use the SIS to update your contact details, view your schedule, check grades, and access important notices from the Institute. The “Learning Management System”, “LMS”, or “Moodle” is the online learning platform used to deliver course materials and support your studies. You may use Moodle to access lectures, readings, assignments, quizzes, discussion forums, and other learning resources provided by your instructors.
